Figure Skating Coach

When I’m not writing, you can find me on the ice at the Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville, TN, coaching figure skating lessons at the Nashville Skating Academy.

Coaching Philosophy

Share the joy of skating with my students, and equip them with the tools and knowledge to learn on-ice skills. I emphasize appreciation for the learning process and the life skills learned on the ice, like goal setting, persistence, and discipline. I meet each student where they are, tailoring classes and individual instruction to unique learning styles.

I teach beginners from toddlers through adults, as well as freestyle and solo ice dance lessons. Email me for more info or to schedule a lesson!

Coaching and Skating Experience

I grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts, where I first stepped on the ice and cultivated a lifelong love of skating. I competed throughout elementary and high school in singles skating, and then competed in synchronized skating in college. As an adult, I added ice dance to my repertoire.

I coached learn to skate throughout my competing days, and then started coaching group classes and private lessons in Massachusetts in 2013. Since then, I have coached in Chicago and Portland, Oregon. More on my skating and coaching experience here in my resume.
